This booking secures your initial session for the Handler Development Course.
During this visit, we introduce the course structure, begin foundational learning concepts, demonstrate key training principles, and plan the remaining course sessions together.

This course is designed to teach handlers how to train their own dogs effectively, focusing on learning theory, communication, and practical application rather than individual behaviours.

In-person training is available within the Perth metropolitan area, including locations up to 30 km from the Perth CBD, or via online/video-based delivery for clients outside the area.

2-day course (10 hours total)

  • Day 1: ~5 hours – Theory & practical application

  • Day 2: ~5 hours – Theory & practical application

  • How dogs learn and process information

  • Marker systems and clear communication

  • Reward-based training principles

  • Pressure and release (negative reinforcement) explained clearly and responsibly

This appointment covers the initial session only.
The Handler Development Course is delivered as a two-day education and practical training course.
Remaining course sessions are scheduled together after your initial session based on availability and delivery format (in person or online).

Ongoing support is included following the course for questions and short video review to assist with applying the concepts learned.
